FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

December 9, 2015

PIA MidAmerica, one of the largest and most active graphic arts and printing associations in North America, today announced the venues for GRAPHEX 2016 – its annual graphic excellence awards program. The Dallas-Fort Worth program will be held at the Perot Museum in Dallas on April 19, while the Kansas City regional event will be held at the Uptown Theater on April 28.

“We are proud to hold these annual events, which are celebrations of excellence, in top venues within our region,” said PIA MidAmerica President Doug Kurkul. “We encourage our members to save these dates on their 2016 calendars.”

Sponsorship information for the galas is available from BJ Irvin (Texas-Oklahoma) and Teresa Campbell (KC Metro) at the phone numbers listed above. Event registration will be made available in the near future.

The Association encourages its members to begin collecting and submitting award entries. There are many different award categories, providing ample opportunity to gain company and employee recognition for high-quality and creative work. A list of categories, as well as the entry forms, can be found at this link.

Kurkul noted that the Association is providing 2016 program dates as early as possible so that members and friends of the organization will have the optimal time to plan to take advantage of valuable member benefits and programs. A calendar of events through November 2016 can be found here. More programs and events will be added as details become available.

The elegant Perot Museum of Nature and Science is regarded as one of the best museums of its kind in the country. The Uptown Theater, located in Kansas City, was built in 1926 and is on the National Register of Historic Places. It hosts top acts such as Dwight Yoakam, Jethro Tull, and Lyle Lovett, as well as private events. Award-winning GraphEx entries will be exhibited at both events.
