ABOUT THE ROLE
The Quality Assurance ISO Supervisor directs activities concerned, customers/client external quality issues and maintenance of quality standards for GPI Blue Springs Plant processes, materials and products that may need to improve quality. This position will report directly to the VP of Global Supply Chain & Strategic Projects, ensuring a clear audit of process controls versus production requirements.
EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Exempt
•All quality documentation and analysis.
•Creation and maintenance ISO9001 standard and continuous improvement.
•Interface with both Quality Control team and Production team to assure all quality procedures are fulfilled.
•Implement methods to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
•Develops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation.
•Establishes program to evaluate precision and accuracy of production equipment and testing, measurement, and analytical equipment and facilities.
•Develops and implements methods and procedures for disposition of discrepant material and devises methods to assess cost and responsibility.
•Assist the Quality Control Supervisor and Production Managers to direct employees to engaged in measuring and testing product and tabulating data concerning materials, product, or process quality and reliability.
•Suggests and advise changes and support Quality Control Supervisor and Production Managers to implements changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase safety and efficiency of shop, department, or work crew.
•Analyzes and resolves work problems and assists Quality Control Supervisor and Production Managers to support workers in solving work problems.
•Suggests and advise initiates and support Quality Control Supervisor and Production Managers on plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
•Maintains time and production records from customers external and internal complaints with analysis for improvements and solutions.
•Confers with other supervisors and Quality Control Production Supervisor to coordinate activities of individual departments.
•Interfaces with other Departments and the internal Trainer to develop and implement training programs as required.
•Confers with workers’ representatives and Human Resources to resolve grievances.
•Bachelor’s degree required
•Bachelor’s degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering or related field in Production or Industrial Management preferred.
•Progressively responsible manufacturing/production/personnel experience. Leadership experience.
•Must have at least 5 years manufacturing in ISO environment
•Successful implementation of ISO 9000 standards in fast-paced production facility with demonstrated improvement in customer satisfaction and overall cost reduction.
•Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
•Thorough knowledge of manufacturing operations and safety procedures.
•Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications
•Strong commitment to maintaining an environmentally safe and sound work setting.
•Must have an understanding of ISO 9000 standards and practice it for more than five (5) years or more.
•Proficient in QMS (Quality Management Standards
•Must be Certified as one of the following: ASQ Certified Six Sigma Black Belt, ASQ CQA (Certified Quality Auditor)
•Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks quickly and accurately.
• Possess outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Not satisfied with handling problems; must be a problem solver.
