The Nolan Moore Memorial Education Foundation is PIA MidAmerica’s way of providing for the future of the industry. It was established in 1995 in the memory of Nolan Moore, PIA MidAmerica’s longtime executive director and stalwart supporter of career awareness for the printing and graphics industry.
The Foundation has provided over $200,000 of support to students and educational institutions in Kansas, Oklahoma, Missouri, and Texas.
The Foundation funds and supports various activities including:
Support grants for secondary and post-secondary institutions teaching print technology and graphics programs in the PIA MidAmerica service area;
Support of the PrintEd initiative, the industry’s certification program for secondary and post-secondary institutions;
Support of the SkillsUSA competition in high school teaching printing technologies in Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Texas;
Distribution of career awareness material, including the Nolan Moore production “Harvest of Wisdom,” which was updated in 2015;
Providing training programs and material for the printing and imaging industry.
The Foundation is supported by industry fund raising events and charitable contributions. All donations are tax deductible.
