2026 Mailpiece Design Consultant (MDC) Certification Virtual Workshop

The Mailpiece Design Consultant (MDC) Certification Virtual Workshop provides the knowledge and certification needed to design mail for compatibility with USPS automation equipment, qualify for automation postage discounts, improve mail processing, and help avoid costly USPS penalties.

Offered in partnership with the Mail Systems Management Association (MSMA), this virtual workshop is designed for professionals who work with mailpiece design, production, processing, customer service, or sales.

What’s Included

Registration includes:

• MSMA MDC online certification exam fee
• MDC Study Guide and Review Questions
• Access to Zoom session recordings upon request

A 10-chapter, approximately 150-page Study Guide based on the USPS Domestic Mail Manual (DMM), along with review questions, will be provided in PDF format approximately one week before the workshop.

Participants are expected to read through the Study Guide and complete the review questions to properly prepare for the exam.

Certification Exam

Following the workshop, participants will complete an online, open-book final exam consisting of 100 multiple-choice questions. A certificate is presented upon successful completion.

MDC certification is valid for two years.
