  Vox Printing’s Lean Resurgence!

  Oklahoma City’s Vox Printing is well-known for creative management practices (PIA’s Best Workplace in America winner the past three years), as well as being committed to continuous improvement for the past 25 years.

  At this month’s Lean In Action meeting, come and learn about their Lean implementation and their continuous improvement journey. The production management team from Vox will guide us down the path they’ve taken, and tell us how it started, what worked, what didn’t work, and how they have revived their journey after periods of little activity.

  The Vox Printing presenters:

  Robert Reid, who is Executive VP for this family business, has been overseeing the production at Vox Printing since his graduation from OSU in 1992. Robert has attended the PIA Continuous Improvement Conference for 7 years and sat on their advisory board for 3 years.

  Audy Compton, who is the firm’s Lean Coordinator, is responsible for developing a culture of change among the employees at Vox and has overseen 1000 process improvements. Audy joined Vox Printing in 1997 and has worked in various positions including delivery truck driver, pressman, supervisor and plant manager.

  Ricky Bryant has been in the printing business for 28 years working at different companies such as Shea Communications, World Color, Quebecor and Quad Graphics. Ricky was introduced to and certified in ISO 9000 in his earlier years and in his current position as a shift supervisor at Vox he is learning and practicing lean manufacturing and is leading many Kaizen events.
