Mailing and shipping rate change season is here! UPS® announced their 2023 annual rate increase.
With the new year comes this year’s annual change for UPS pricing. On average there is an increase of about 6.9% for 5 different services. The services impacted are UPS SurePost, Retail Rates, UPS Ground, UPS Air, and International services. This means that some of the item prices that you have come to know this last year have increased starting December 27th, 2022. This is an increase from last year’s 5.9% increase in 2022. There were other changed that came into effect in December as well, including scheduled pickup options will no longer vary by weekly billing total, late payment fees will increase from 6-8%, Peak/Demand Surcharge will also be referred to as Demand Surcharge, and the list of ZIP codes aligned to certain zones will be changed.
