    • In a recent interview, PRINTING United Alliance’s technical team break down frequently asked questions regarding pandemic safety trends, including the legitimacy of antimicrobial coatings on printed pieces. They confirm that special aqueous and UV coatings can indeed make a surface unviable for many microbes. They go on to explain the application requirements, relative cost and legal ramifications of these coatings, including what safety claims printers can and cannot make.
  • CDC quarantine calendar
    • The CDC has also developed a set of quarantine guidelines including calendars explaining how long you need to quarantine under a variety of different scenarios.
  • New guidance on hybrid school, FLMA
    • The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) has addressed nuances in several important human resource-related topics including hybrid schooling and FLMA. Employers can now find DOL guidance as to whether an employee is eligible for expanded intermittent FMLA if their child is on a hybrid school plan in DOL FAQs #98 and #99.

    • The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) has also published a memorandum spelling out the employers’ obligation to exercise reasonable diligence in tracking teleworking employees’ hours of work.
