Who can be nominated for the award?

Any Customer Service Representative (CSR) employed by a member company of PIA MidAmerica may be nominated. The nominator may be anyone at a PIA MidAmerica member company. Nominating is FREE and you can nominate multiple people.

Nomination Criteria

The award recipient will have gone above and beyond to provide outstanding, innovative customer service or improve a process or service. They must currently work for a PIA MidAmerica member company in good standing. In addition, this person consistently demonstrates the following customer service skills:

  • Responsiveness to customers
  • Efficiency
  • Professionalism
  • Innovation
  • Conflict resolution

Human Resources Professional of the Year

Who can be nominated for the award?

Any Human Resources Professional employed by a member company of PIA MidAmerica may be nominated. The nominator may be anyone at a PIA MidAmerica member company. Nominating is FREE and you can nominate multiple people.

Nomination Criteria

The award recipient should currently be working full-time for a PIA MidAmerica member company in good standing. He/she must exhibit:

  • High moral and ethical standing
  • Significant HR contributions
  • Employee advocacy, retention and appreciation
  • Innovation to prepare for the future
  • Leadership in uncertain times

Who can be nominated for the award?

Any Outstanding Team employed by a member company of PIA MidAmerica may be nominated. The nominator may be anyone at a PIA MidAmerica member company. Nominating is FREE and you can nominate multiple teams.

Nomination Criteria

The Outstanding Team Award recognizes a team that worked together in an exceptional manner to complete an assigned task or that independently took on an improvement initiative (during 2024) supported by a manager. Eligible teams include:

  • Currently working for a PIA MidAmerica member company in good standing.
  • 10 or fewer members from any department, group or cross-functional group of staff or committee of staff members.
  • Work effectively as a team to successfully accomplish a task or meet a goal.

Production Professional of the Year

Who can be nominated for the award?

Any Production Professional employed by a member company of PIA MidAmerica may be nominated. The nominator may be anyone at a PIA MidAmerica member company. Examples of eligible positions include: press operator, bindery operator, prepress, etc. Supervisors may be nominated if he/she operates equipment. Nominating is FREE and you can nominate multiple people.

Nomination Criteria

The award recipient must demonstrate outstanding, innovative print production that is worthy of recognition. They must currently work for a PIA MidAmerica member company in good standing. In addition, this person must consistently exhibit the following print production skills:

  • Decision making and problem solving
  • Equipment and workspace maintenance
  • Teamwork and interactive communication
  • Process and quality control, improvement
  • Environmental and safety compliance

Any job title employed by a member company of PIA MidAmerica that meets the definition of a PIA MidAmerica Young Professional may be nominated. The nominator may be anyone at a PIA MidAmerica member company. Nominating is FREE and you can nominate multiple people.

Nomination Criteria

  • Currently working for a PIA MidAmerica member company in good standing.
  • Meets the definition of a PIA MidAmerica Young Professional – must be 39 years old or younger as of April 2024 and employed full-time by a PIA MidAmerica member company.
  • Demonstrates strong leadership, teamwork & sense of integrity (examples required).

The award recipient will have gone above and beyond to provide outstanding, innovative estimating or improve a process or service. They must currently work for a PIA MidAmerica member company in good standing. In addition, this person consistently demonstrates the following service skills:

  • Responsiveness to estimate requests
  • Efficiency
  • Professionalism
  • Innovative and creative solutions that address at one of the following:
  • Helping clients to produce their dream projects on budget
  • Problem solving as it relates to supply chain issues or production efficiencies
  • Providing innovative solutions to increase project(s) profitability

The nominator may be anyone within the print industry, including employers, colleagues, students, or industry professionals. Nominating is FREE, and you can nominate multiple educators.

Nomination Criteria

The award recipient will be an outstanding educator who has demonstrated a commitment to fostering the next generation of print and graphic communication professionals. They must currently teach at an educational institution or training program that supports the development of print industry talent. In addition, this educator consistently demonstrates the following qualities:

  • Passion for teaching and student success
  • Innovation in curriculum and hands-on training
  • Strong industry connections and mentorship
  • Dedication to advancing the future of print
  • Commitment to student engagement and professional growth
