Sales Representative

Position Summary

The Sales Representative is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with customers and prospects through a consultative and solution-oriented approach. This role requires exceptional communication skills, creativity in approach, and proactive engagement with leads. The Sales Representative serves as the primary contact for commercial clients, working collaboratively with various departments to ensure seamless project execution and customer satisfaction. Success in this role involves understanding customer needs, providing tailored solutions, and achieving revenue targets through strategic sales and relationship development.

General Duties and Responsibilities

  • Build and nurture relationships with customers and prospects, actively identifying and satisfying their needs.
  • Proactively generate leads, develop a pipeline, and pursue opportunities to grow revenue.
  • Collaborate with the Sales Manager to develop and review sales strategies for key accounts and prospects.
  • Work closely with Customer Service and Production teams to ensure seamless fulfillment of orders and effective communication of client needs.
  • Bridge the gap between designers and production, ensuring accurate and efficient execution of projects.
  • Meet or exceed revenue targets for both retention of existing accounts and acquisition of new accounts.
  • Maintain and expand a list of named accounts and prospects.
  • Set aside dedicated time weekly for prospecting activities.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and follow-through to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Continuously develop industry knowledge, including print production, graphic arts, and marketing fundamentals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the success of the sales team.

Time Allocation

Sales Representatives will spend significant time making outbound calls, visiting customers, and proactively pursuing leads to drive sales. The remaining time is dedicated to administrative tasks, order processing, and promoting the company’s products. Compensation is performance-based, contingent on achieving sales goals.
