HISTORY OF NMMEF

The Nolan Moore Memorial Educational Foundation was created in 1996 by PIA MidAmerica’s predecessor association PIA-Texas in memory of its legendary executive director Nolan Moore. Mr. Moore was passionate about career awareness and industry workforce development.
During his 23 year service with PIA-Texas, he produced several films and multi-media presentations, many which were used as recruiting and career awareness tools. His most memorable, “Harvest of Wisdom,” was completed months prior to his death in 1995. It is a historical perspective of the written word and its impact on civilization. Thousands of copies of this 40-minute film have been circulated throughout hundreds of secondary and post-secondary schools across the United States.
