Clampitt Paper launched their new paper line, Colorplan by G.F. Smith, at their launch party on October 18th at their Dallas Creative Center. The MAX room was transformed into an experiential sound and color art installation. This exhibit displays 55 colors and 55 individual sound tones that blend into five distinct musical expressions to evoke the feeling of synesthesia.

Synesthesia is a neurological condition in which, when one sense is activated, another unrelated sense is activated at the same moment. This is commonly seen in the relationship between sound and color.

In all, 1,856 individual boxes were meticulously placed to make this sculpture. The exhibit showcases all the colors available in the new Colorplan line.

The team from G.F. Smith was on-hand, to take attendees through the experience and share more about the science of color preference and the psychology of color. (Read more and explore these findings here.)

The portal installation will be open during business hours at Clampitt’s Dallas Creative Center until October 28th, 2022.
