Trabon Executive Wins Coveted Industry Honor
Mike Magerl Named Executive of the Year by the Printing and Imaging Association of MidAmerica
Kansas City, Mo. – March 4, 2013 – Mike Magerl, president of the Marketing Services Group at Trabon, has been named Kansas City Executive of the Year by the Printing and Imaging Association (PIA) of MidAmerica. He will be recognized at the PIA MidAmerica Graphex Awards Gala in Kansas City on May 9, 2013.
Magerl is the 57th such executive honored with this award, which is presented annually to an industry leader who has shown exemplary management skills and support of the printing community. This highly revered award has roots going back to the inception of the organization in 1886, and the recipient is selected by a group of peers. The PIA MidAmerica Association is composed of industry members operating in Missouri, Kansas, Texas and Oklahoma.

Magerl began his career with Houston-based Grover Printing Company in 1988. After five years, he joined Trabon as a sales representative. For more than 19 years, Magerl has been an integral part of Trabon, as it has evolved from a traditional printing company to a technology embracing, manufacturing, distribution and consulting firm. He also has served as vice president of sales at Trabon, and in January 2009 was promoted to president of the Marketing Services Group.
An active community member, Magerl serves on the board of PIA MidAmerica, as well as having served as chairman of the Association’s Kansas City Advisory Board . In his spare time, he enjoys playing golf and tennis, yard work and keeping up with his teenage son, Ethan.
Magerl received his bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Houston in 1988. Three years later, he married his wife Beth. Magerl and his family reside in Overland Park, Kansas.
