Chuck Chalifoux Honored with PIA MidAmerica Visionary Award

 – March 13, 2013 – Chuck Chalifoux, president/CEO of ColorDynamics, Allen, Texas is the 2013 recipient of Printing & Imaging Association of MidAmerica’s Visionary Award.  The award recognizes an individual who has helped shape and transform the Dallas/Fort Worth graphic arts community both through their leadership and involvement in the community.  Chalifoux will be recognized for this achievement on April 25, 2013 at the Association’s Graphic Excellence Awards Gala, which will be held at the Irving Convention Center.

Chalifoux began his career in Chicago working at his family’s printing company during the summers, and subsequently earned a printing management degree from Western Michigan University.  Upon graduation he held various management positions with his family’s business and in 1984 he joined Bradley Printing in Chicago.  After 10 years with Bradley, Chalifoux moved south to Texas and joined ColorDynamics.  The company is one of North Texas major commercial printers with sheetfed, digital, and web capabilities.  The company has had several “firsts” in the marketplace – installation of a double web heatset press; full in-line finishing on a heatset web; and installation of Komori’s largest sheetfed press.  In 2004, Chalifoux and several partners acquired the family run business which had relocated from Chicago in the early 1980s.

Chuck has held various board and officer positions with Printing & Imaging Association of MidAmerica (PIA MidAmerica).  He served as the Association’s Chairman of the Board in 2005, as well as serving as a Trustee for the Nolan Moore Memorial Education Foundation.

Chuck has been married to Janis (Jan) for 39 years, and has three children – Liz, Amy, and Jeff and also three grandchildren.  Chuck is a golfer who enjoys bike riding and reading.  He and Jan are also avid tennis players.
