Etheridge Printing Wins Top Honors

The Printing & Imaging Association of MidAmerica has announced that Etheridge Printing of Dallas, Texas was recognized with the prestigious Best of Show award in the Association’s 24th Annual Graphic Excellence Awards Competition.  The announcement was made April 25th at the Association’s 2013 Graphic Excellence Awards Gala, held at the Irving Convention Center with over 230 industry professionals in attendance.  This year’s competition attracted entries from many of the industry’s top print providers in Kansas, Oklahoma, Western Missouri, and Texas.

The winning entry was a brochure produced for Fossil which promoted the 2012 Relic Holiday Collection.  The printed piece was a complex tapestry of manufacturing challenges thus earning the entry its Best of Show recognition by a panel of independent judges.  “The execution of every single element from use of paper to finishing was superb,” stated Michael Klyne, the senior judge of the competition.

Etheridge was founded in 1898 and is not only one of Dallas’ oldest businesses still operated by the founding family, it is also the oldest printing company run by its founding family.  Over the years, the company has evolved into a leader in the printing industry, blending emerging data management capabilities with time-tested printing methods and unmatched quality as demonstrated by winning its second Best of Show award in the past four years.

The Graphic Excellence Competition recognizes the technical excellence involved with the manufacturing of a printed product.  Entries ranging from corporate stationery to complex marketing pieces make up the hundreds of entries in the competition.   Best of Show recognition is given to the single piece which the judges felt was technically the most challenging to produce and which was executed in a superb manner.
